I graduated from Shawnee State University with my bachelor’s in business administration with a concentration in healthcare administration in 2016. In 2018, I graduated from South University with my master’s in healthcare administration. I have been serving the geriatric population in various roles since 2013. I started my career as a direct support professional, caring for adults with developmental disabilities. Then I obtained my CNA certification and began working in long-term care. I have since served as medical records director, social service director, life enrichment manager, assistant administrator, and now administrator. I enjoy coming to work every day and being able to maintain personal relationships with employees, residents and family members.

Director of Nursing

I have been in the health care field for 17 years. I began my career in ER registration and unit secretary in ER and radiology. I went on to get my RN degree. I have been an RN for 10 years and have experience in orthopedics, medical surgery, post-critical care, and GI lab. I went into long-term care and that is where I felt I was at home and I belonged. I have worked in many different areas of long-term care including restorative nursing, staff development, facility management, and MDS, and am now the director of nursing. It is a true blessing to be able to hug the residents and put smiles on their faces every day. It makes me feel like my job makes a difference and is rewarding.

LeighLeigh Dinarte

I completed my master’s degree in speech-language pathology at Auburn University in 2008. I have worked exclusively in long-term care facilities throughout my career, serving as both a staff speech-language pathologist and rehab director for facilities in Alabama and Georgia. I began working at Pine Knoll in 2016 and I thoroughly enjoy working with the residents and staff in our facility. It is a joy to help our residents meet their therapy goals and achieve increased independence for improved quality of life.

DavidDavid Jenkins

Social Services Director
P: (770)832-8243 Ext. 41

I have been the social services director for Pine Knoll since 1995. I enjoy working with the residents and their families. I assist residents with discharge plans such as home health and other community resources. For long-term care residents, I help them with emotional needs in adjustment to their new environment. I enjoy coming to Pine Knoll each day and working with a great staff!

AmyAmy George

Recreational Director
P: (770)832-8243 Ext. 36

I have worked in the medical field for 20 years in both acute and long-term care settings. I enjoyed exploring different jobs within both (ER, cardiac, pediatrics, rehab tech, central supply, HR/payroll, activities). I started out as a certified nursing assistance/patient care tech, and then I was promoted to the job I love as a recreational director. Being the recreational director of LTC is very gratifying. I love planning fun events and putting a smile on the face of everyone. I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve with the amazing staff and residents of Pine Knoll for 18 years now.

KimKim Ponder

Admissions Director
P: (770)832-8243 Ext. 18

I joined the Pine Knoll Nursing and Rehab team in 2017 as the assistant business office manager/Medicaid specialist. In my current role as admissions director, I direct admissions and marketing operations for the areas of rehab, skilled nursing, and long-term care. The best part of my job is building relationships with the residents and family members.

LaVondaLaVonda Purnell

Business Office Manager
P: (770)832-8243 Ext. 12

I have served in many aspects of the health care business, including medical surgery, behavioral and skilled nursing for over 15 years. By far, serving in long-term care has been the most rewarding. I have a bachelor of science degree in health care administration/long-term care and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in health care administration. My passion is helping the elderly in understanding their options in health care.
